NBA Christmas Schedule Release

The NBA has released its opening Christmas week schedule. Shams Charania tweeted out the schedule which you can view below.

Lakers vs Clippers Season Opener

The Los Angeles Lakers will get their rings and play underneath their number 17 championship banner for the first time while the Los Angeles Clippers look from across the court. Last season the Lakers Clippers games were captivating, competitive, and confrontational. With Montrezl Harrell changing from the Clippers to the Lakers and the friction between the Lakers and Clippers very much alive, this is a great season opener for the NBA.

Mavericks vs Lakers Christmas Day

Christmas Day is always a big day for the NBA. It’s usually the only sport on and usually they have marquee matchups. This season appears to be no exception. Mavericks- Lakers, Clippers-Nuggets, Pelicans-Heat, and Warriors-Bucks are all top tier teams, entertaining matchups, and interesting storylines. Theses games really matter to the NBA and if you’re playing in Christmas Day it means you are one of the most important teams in the NBA. I expect the Lakers to play on Christmas Day for the next three seasons now that Lebron has signed a contract extension with the Lakers.

Full Schedule Not Out…Yet

The NBA has yet to release its full fledged schedule. It should be out soon since the preseason begins next week and the NBA season is happening three weeks from now. When the full schedule is released I’ll be sure to write an article on it and dive deep into what it looks like for the Lakers.
