News Round-Up

The Lakers have finished up games for October, we have updates on the injury report, and the Southbay Lakers are soon to be in action. All this and more, in this week’s News Round-Up

Lakers end October 4-3

The Lakers had an up and down October. They had a dominant win against the Rockets and an embarrassing loss against the Thunder. After the month was all said and done, the Lakers ended October 4-3. Overall, I’d say the month was what I thought it would be going in. I predicted the record perfectly and wasn’t surprised the Lakers have struggled early. This team has a lot of new pieces, some key players missing, and a new star that needs to be implemented into the team. It’s going to take time, and Lakers Nation needs to have patience in the meantime. We’ll see if that happens.

Year 19 and Healthy

After roughing up his ankle due to a collision with a Memphis Grizzlies, LeBron has returned and is healthy as ever. He averaged 20.5 in his two games back and seemed as excited as ever to play.

Lakers Injury Report Update

Talen Horton-Tucker shooting again is excellent news. Still no timetable for his return, but he’s making progress and has been working out in the meantime. Wayne Ellington has a hamstring issue, and those are always tricky. It’s good he’s practicing with the G-League team. Hopefully, he’ll be back with the team soon.

Southbay Lakers

Speaking of the G-League, the Southbay Lakers start games this week. They begin with the G League Ignite on Friday, November 5th. The Southbay Lakers will be an exciting team to keep an eye on as they have a few Lakers prospects, including the two-way players Sekou Doumbouya and Jay Huff.
